Music Unites Seniors to Seniors is a New Horizons funded program designed to address isolation in the senior population. Between June and November 2024, YWIM will run four Seniors Jamming and Singalong Sessions at :

  • Thompson Centre
  • The Legion
  • Elderactive
  • Queer Yukon.

We are excited to kick off the program with Thomson Centre on June 13. The program will expand to the Legion in either June or July, and run through to the fall.  Seniors Jams at Queer Yukon and Elderactive will start this fall.

We are currently seeking the right paid YWIM leader(s) for Thomson Centre and the Legion. Duos are welcome to take on the four sessions at a given location and split the fee.

Susie is assembling Songbooks and percussion instruments (shakers) to provide for the sessions, and will work with the selected YWIM jam leaders to refine song choices for their respective jams. We will also encourage any interested YWIM members to come out and participate in the jams.
